Annavaram

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

Make no mistake about it, Annavaram is a racy, massy entertainer with all the right pauses and poises.

The movie is a sister-brother story with enough action to attract all. A remake of the Tamil hit Tirupachi, this is Pawan Kalyan's big attempt in being in the charmed circle of top stars.

Pawan, among the most sensitive and sensible actors in the industry, has put in a lot of work into this character that is heart and brawn. He dotes on his sister and takes on the baddies in the big city.

The script is full of racy action and entertaining exchanges.

Asin is the heroine in the film. She plays the role that Trisha played in the original. It is full of fun and antics.

Sandhya, who caught our eye in Premiste and Vallabha, plays Pawan's sister.

Naga Babu, Lal, Asish Vidyarthi, Siva Balaji, Brahmaji, Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Venumadhav, Tanikella Bharani, Mallikarjuna Rao, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Ranganath and others are in the cast.

Story is by Perarasu, dialogues are by Janardhana Maharshi, music is by Ramana Gogula.

Ramana Gogula's music is very rhythmic and racy, making the fans dance in the aisles.

N Sriram has handled the camera.

The film is directed by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao, presented by RB Choudary and jointly produced by SV Prasad and Paras Jain under the banner Mega Super Good Films.

Choudary says, "The film has all elements that are expected by the audiences in general and Pawan's fans in particular."

Pawan has laid out all the necessary things and will surely appeal to his huge fan base. The fights and dances are certainly trend-setting.

One of the producers, SV Prasad says, "Pawan did a lot of homework and worked very hard for this film. We are sure that his fans would be thrilled to see the movie."

The director Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao is known to handle such subjects with finesse. There is no doubt that he is set to deliver one more big one.
