Annapurna Studios, founded by the doyen of Telugu Film Industry Akkineni Nageshwara Rao as a production house in 1955, expanded into a real studio, with shooting floors as the flagship service offering in 1975. Over the years, the production house has produced several blockbuster hits with the two stalwarts from the family viz., ANR and Nagarjuna. Recently, they have also started post production facilities and a Film & TV institute to support their production facilities. Now, they are moving into the most competitive and cut-throat part of the value chain, Film Distribution.

Nagarjuna announced today that the distribution arm will start its business in Vizag area with his own film 'Bhai', a co-production with Reliance Entertainment and directed by Veerabhadram and later expand into the other parts of the state(s). The office will be officially opened on the 22nd August with Pooja and other such formalities.
