Annapurna International School for Film and Media has said in a statement that it's announcing a scholarship named Annapurna Scholarship under its Master's program for film aspirants.  The scholarship is worth Rs 1,00,000 and the most deserving applicant of the Master’s program in film and media at AISFM will get it. 

"The idea is to encourage talented young women to join the media and entertainment industry so as to bridge the gender gap," said Amala Akkineni.  

There is more.  "In Season 2, ‘SHE INSPIRES’ contest aims to recognize women who beat challenges in their lives to create a space for themselves across the spectrum. Out of the 62 nominations received, selecting 5 was a herculean task for the jury," a statement from the Institute says.
