Superstar Rajinikanth's new movie 'Annaathe' shooting happened in Hyderabad a few months back and thirty percent of the screenplay was completed. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic put a halt to the project for the past four months and according to sources Rajini has decided to return to work only if the virus is completely eradicated considering his health condition.

Negotiations are going on between the film organizations and the Tamil Nadu government for permission to begin shooting. The fraternity is hopeful that soon the officials will give the nod positively which will help thousands of film workers livelihood.

It is now said that Sun Pictures the producers of 'Annaathe' have asked director Siruthai Siva to plan to shoot the film without Rajini for now and then later add his portions when it is conducive for him to get back to sets. The team is now said to be coming up with a strategy to execute the plans.
