The big update that Superstar Rajinikanth's fans have been waiting for with bated breaths is finally here. Yes Sun Pictures has officially announced that the most awaited film will be releasing worldwide on November 14th 2021.

The shooting of 'Annaathe' directed by Siruthai Siva began in late 2019 and a major portion was shot in the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad in early 2020. However due to the coronavirus pandemic it was stalled for nine months.

On December 14th 2020, Rajinikanth once again participated in the 'Annaathe' shooting in Hyderabad and worked enthusiastically with the mind to complete his portions within forty days. But unfortunately four crew members tested positive for COVID 19 which forced the work to stop and Rajini was hospitalized for a couple of days due hypertension. The health setback also resulted in Rajini deciding to quit politics even before floating his political party which was planned for January 27th.

There was big curiosity amongst fans as well as the film industry as to the fate of 'Annaathe' which has now been answered in the most positive manner.
