Ann and Deepthi's lucky break

Director Lal Jose has introduced many an actresses in tinsel town. One among them is Ann Augustine, who debuted in his 'Elsamma Enna Aankutty'. In a recent interview, the director revealed that he had approached a leading actress to play Elsamma. But that hadn't worked out since she demanded a high remuneration. That was when he came across Ann and cast her as Elsamma, and the actress earning her lucky break.

Similar is the case with Deepti Sati. Lal Jose had approached a drama artiste to play Neena. However, with the movie getting stalled for three years, a lot many changes were made to Neena's character and he was on a search for a new heroine finally landing on Deepti. Ann and Deepthi were the leading ladies in Lala Jose's latest release 'Nee-Na', which has been received well.
