While shooting for the latest James Bond film, Daniel Craig has injured his ankle and will undergo a minor surgery. The franchise posted the update on Twitter saying: “BOND 25 update: Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica. Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020.”
Craig has also sustained injuries in previous films while performing stunts. When shooting for Casino Royale, the actor lost two teeth. In Quantum of Solace, he suffered a muscle tear in his shoulder and the tip of a finger got sliced off. In his latest Bond film Spectre, he injured his knee. This hasn’t stopped the actor from doing his own stunts. The reason for this can be seen in a statement made by him earlier: “It was important to me that I do as many of my own stunts as possible for authenticity. I wanted to be seen jumping from crane to crane, physically exerting myself. I didn’t get fit just to take my shirt off.”
