It is known that director Ohmkar is making a sequel to his latest outing Rajugari Gadhi. The first part featuring Ashwin and Dhanya Balakrishna in lead roles has turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2015. Made on a shoe string budget, Rajugari Gadhi has collected around Rs 10 cr at the ticket window. Currently, the script work is underway and Ohmkar is planning to launch the sequel shortly.

Grapevine is that Ohmkar has approached actress Anjali for the female lead role. Those in the know say that the director narrated the script to the actress and impressed with the plot, she agreed to sign the dotted line. However, an official statement is awaited. The makers have retained all the actors from the first installment and only Anjali will be the new inclusion in the film.
