The Ajith starrer 'Thunivu' and his arch rival Vijay's 'Varisu' are confirmed to release on Pongal 2023. The biggest superstars currently in South Indian cinema are clashing at the box office after eight years since 'Jilla' and Veeram' released on the same day in 2014 for Pongal. Before that there will be another Ajith vs Vijay fans clash on social media and Anirudh might be the reason.

Gibran the music director of 'Thunivu' announced yesterday that the first single from 'Thunivu' will be released soon and Anirudh has sung the song. The song is expected to release in the third week of November.

On the other hand news has come in that the second single from Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' will also be released in the third week of November. The common factor here is that Anirudh has also sung the song. What this means is that roughly around the same time Anirudh's songs from both 'Varisu' and 'Thunivu' wll be out. No need to add that hardcore fans of both the box office kings will be in the war zone comparing the two songs.

Anyways another interesting thing is that Anirudh is set to score music for Vijay's next 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Ajith's next 'AK 62' directed by Vignesh Shivan as well.
