Lyricist, writer, and actor Swanand Kirkire expressed his thoughts on the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Animal" via X on December 2. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film continues to draw audiences to the box office, despite polarizing reviews highlighting themes of misogyny and hypermasculinity. Recently, the official X page of "Animal" reacted to Swanand Kirkire's commentary.
Swanand Kirkire took to X a few days back, writing a series of posts in Hindi sharing his reaction to "Animal." He expressed concern for today's women after watching the movie, lamenting the portrayal of a new, more intimidating male figure, lacking respect and aiming to dominate rather than empower. He felt disheartened seeing young girls in the cinema hall applauding scenes of Rashmika being mistreated, contrasting it with his ideals of equality, leaving him feeling distressed and hopeless.
In his concluding remarks, Kirkire pondered over Ranbir's character defining an alpha male, equating poets as individuals seeking affection by making grand promises. He questioned if there's space for poets like him in a society depicted in the film, concerned about the impact of such narratives on Indian cinema's legacy.
Responding to Kirkire's reaction, the official X account of "Animal" shared a newspaper report and sarcastically tagged the National Award winner, creating a stir among users on the platform.
The film "Animal," starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and others, revolves around a tumultuous father-son relationship against a backdrop of crime and the underworld.

Do not let your knees fall ahead of your toes or cave in towards each other. Keep feet shoulder-width apart to maintain a good base of support for balance. Land softly on the balls of the feet to help absorb the force of the landing.
