On Wednesday, on the occasion of World Compassion Day, the stylish father-daughter Anil Kapoor and Sonam were quite lucky enough to meet the living epitome of peace and non-violence - the man himself Dalai Lama.

An event was held in the city to celebrate the World Compassion Day where the Tibetan spiritual leader promoted importance of peace, ahimsa and vegetarianism.

At the event, Anil Kapoor recalled a time when he was travelling on the same plane as Dalai Lama and how he went forward to seek blessings and also got the world renowned personality to sign a film script which the actor was reading at the moment.

On the other hand beti Sonam was very excited and felt really blessed on coming face to face with His Holiness at the event. Accompanied by mom Sunita, Sonam specially flew down to Mumbai from Delhi (where she was shooting for ‘Raanjhna’), since she didn’t want to miss the opportunity of meeting Dalai Lama.
