With the release of his latest film 'Jugjugg Jeeyo', evergreen actor Anil Kapoor clocked 39 years in the film industry. His first leading role was in the film 'Woh Saat Din' which came out in 1983 and since then, he has worked in numerous iconic and memorable films. During a recent interview with ETimes, Anil Kapoor talked about his long and illustrious career journey and the impact it had on his life.

He stated, "Oh that was beautiful! I didn't realise it until one of my fans told me that ‘Woh 7 Din’ had been released exactly 39 years before ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’. Can you believe it, in ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ I am from Patiala and in ‘Woh 7 Din’, I play a character that comes from Patiala and becomes a music director. So to be tradeable, accessible, sellable, and still filmmakers wanting to work with me for 39 long years, is very, very heartening and I really felt like I had worked hard at every step in life."

Sharing how his career also shaped his personal life, Anil Kapoor added, "Whatever I have with me, my family, my success, my children, my friendships, my relationship with my directors, it's all hard work and I’ve put in everything, done it honestly with integrity. I've made mistakes, but learnt from those mistakes. I've tried to improve myself as much as I can, not only as an actor, but as a father, as a husband, as a son, as a friend, as a team person. I am doing my best to improve myself as much as I can."
