With phenomenal success of films like 'RRR', 'Pushpa' and 'KGF: Chapter 2', the popularity of southern cinema throughout the country has skyrocketed in last one year or so. These films have surpassed their Bollywood counterparts in every aspect and lately, several actors from Bollywood have accepted this fact.
Actor Anil Kapoor recently stated that South Indian cinema has always been amazing and he is not surprised by its growing popularity. During the trailer launch event of his upcoming film 'Thar', Anil said, "South has always been making exceptional films, they have been always at the forefront of changing the dynamics of Indian cinema. I'm happy that they're breaking into new territories."
Sharing how Bollywood can learn a thing or two from the southern industries, Anil stated, "I started my career with films down south and it gives me immense pleasure to see them doing so good. They're an inspiration, the more Bollywood imbibes from the them, the better it will be for Hindi cinema at large."
