Popular actors often get offered tonnes of films to work in as every filmmaker wants the most sought after actors in their films. Talking about this subject in a recent media event, actor Varun Dhawan stated that most of the scripts that he gets are terrible and that he has to dig through them to find a good one.
During the recent Film Companion round table discussion, Varun said, "I actually want to ask, after a while, after hearing so many scripts, how do you… To get to the good ones you have to hear a lot of bad ones, at some point, after hearing bad scripts, don’t you feel genuine anger? Because puri sunni padti hai."
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who was also present there said that he often zones oit while hearing those boring narrations while actor Dulquer Salmaan said that he can guage the quality of a script within ten minutes.
However, seasoned actor Anil Kapoor had a difference of opinion and he urged Varun respect the narrators. He stated, "Varun, it’s a part of our job. You have to accept it, and be kind to the person who has come to narrate it to you. It’s okay if you zone out, but you have to give that respect. I know it’s a tough thing, it’s very exhausting, it’s very tiring, but kya karein. If you don’t, then you might miss out on something.”
Varun and Anil shared screen in the film 'Jugjugg Jeeyo' earlier this year.
