Gauthama Buddha reforms him and makes him to quit himsa (violence) and brings him to ahimsa (non-violence) stream. After studying books on Angulimala, I have given contemporary interpretation of Angulimala. I narrate that Angulimala was a terror at that time and kings found it difficult to nab him. And there is terrorism even now. I have interpreted him to the present day context. It is a period movie.
The movie has Saikumar donning the role of Angulimala and Raghu Mukherjee in Buddhas role. Other artistes include Jayanthi, Mukhya Manthri Chandru, Vathsala Mohan, Girija Lokesh and Hamsa.
