'Anguleeka' begins shooting

Priyamani playing the title role in 'Anguleeka' directed by Prem Aryan and produced by Koti Thoomula and Ch Rambabu on the banner of Sri Sankhu Chakra Films. The shooting of the film was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on Sunday (30.12.12). Popular producer Bellamkonda Suresh gave the clap and Kasani Gnaneswar switched on the camera for the muhurat shot under the honorary direction of Tammareddy Bharadwaja, president of Film Chamber.

Speaking on the occasion, director Prem Aryan says, 'This story relates to Lord Surya and time cycle. What happens when an evil soul enters between two lovers is the subject.' Priyamani says, 'To my knowledge, this is the first film that came on the Indian screen with Lord Surya in the backdrop. It is a powerful subject and had lot of scope for performance in this title role.' Deepak says, 'I am playing opposite Priyamani in Telugu after a long a time after 'Mitrudu'.

Producers say, 'We are planning to take up the regular shooting from January 7 and release the film in April or May. It could be compared with 'Arundhati, Magadheera or Dhamarukam' in terms of technical aspect.' Presenter of the film KVV Satyanarayana says, 'We will release the film in Tamil and Hindi languages simultaneously.

Ajay, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Vijayaranga Raju, Jayavan, Raviprakash, Geeta, Suman Setty, Harikrishna (grandson of M Balayya) are in the cast. Dialogues are by Sudarshan and Gopi, lyrics are by Sitarama Sastry, Bhaskarabhatla, Vanamali and Gouri Vandana, music is by Shyam Prasan, camera is by Chittibabu, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, art is by Venkatesh, action is by Dalapati Dinesh, while story, screenplay and direction are by Prem Aryan.
