Mollywood actress Shakeela, who was recently seen in Sampoornesh Babu's 'Kobbari Matta', has expressed dismay over her production venture 'Ladies Not Allowed' not getting censor certification. As per her, the film has been rejected twice by the Board.
"We have made the film as an adult comedy, not as a family entertainer. And we have been clear about our intentions from the beginning. I am told that some Board members are demanding a bribe to clear our film. So far, 'Ladies Not Allowed' has been rejected twice. I am not going to remain silent. I have a recording of what is going wrong," Shakeela said.
"I, as a producer, have made this film after borrowing money from financiers. When so many films of this genre have been certified in the past, why is only my film an issue? Is it because my name is associated with the project?" she questioned.
