Angry mob beats up a man for stealing spare change

A Facebook user’s video post of a snatcher being beaten up by an angry mob has become viral on the internet. The video shows the mob thrashing the snatcher while his accomplice fled the spot. The incident happened in Pedro Gil, Manila. 

The video showed a man pulling the snatcher from a jeepney and then calling him ‘son of a b****’ in Filipino. The snatcher was hit and beaten despite his continuous series of ‘please have mercy’. While the man ended up with a bloody nose, the woman asked everyone to leave him as he snatched only spare change.
 
Many users have been commenting that branding physical violence was unnecessary and that the manshould have been taken to a police station in the first place.
