'Angry Indian Goddesses' wowed the audiences both in India and internationally having won several accolades across the globe. The film is all set for its European release this year making it one of the biggest and widest film release for an Indian film internationally.
Social media was abuzz with the film's reviews when the film released back in December and many demanded for the film to have an extension. Now the makers are soon going to make this come true by turning the film into an extended web series.
The show will deal with the individual lives of each of the characters and their back stories. The show will be in the same mood as the film and will be shot in June and is expected to go online by August, 2016. The series will be directed by Pan Nalin and is expected to have over 12 episodes in the first season to begin with.
Confirming the same, producer Gaurav Dhingra said, ""With all the acclaim, love and support not only in India but from across the world, it was only but natural for us as Producers to further the wonderful journey of AIG with an extension as a web series. AIG was the tip of the many innumerable stories that we wanted to encapsulate around women in contemporary India, the web series gives us the platform to launch many more. Already, we are getting a tremendous response with the film's digital release on TVF Play and we are very excited to continue the roller coaster drama that is AIG in its newest form."
