Angelina Jolie and Daughter Vivienne Celebrate First Tony Win!

Celebrating a major accomplishment are Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne. Working on The Outsiders, a Broadway drama praised by critics since its opening, the pair earned their first Tony Award for their efforts.
Angelina and Vivienne showed up for the awards ceremony dressed in matching sets. While Vivienne matched Angelina in a suit with teal details including the slacks, vest, and bowtie, Angelina shined in a teal velvet gown.
Danya Taymor, The Outsiders, won Best Director and Best Musical honors. With the cast and crew all beaming with enthusiasm, the later win brought Angelina and Vivienne on stage.
Attending its premiere, Angelina and Vivienne have been fervent fans of the show along its course. Angelina said, speaking on The Today Show, This is about family and community. It doesn't hold back on the darker sides of life that we must explore and feel. Eventually, though, family is what pulls us through.
For Angelina, this was a turning point in the evening. Apart from being among the evening's victors, she is now closer to attaining an EGOT statusâan accolade given to Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awardees. Just fifteen artists have ever achieved this.
Jolie already boasts three Golden Globes and an Oscar from her remarkable career. She gets closer to being a member of the select group of EGOT winners with this Tony victory.
