Moving away from her well-known father is another of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children. Recently turning eighteen, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has allegedly requested to have "Pitt" officially removed from her name, according to TMZ. Permission pending, her new name will be "Shiloh Jolie."
Shortly after another kid of the pair broke off her relationship with Brad Pitt, this news broke. Theatregoers learned this weekend that Vivienne, who is credited as "Vivienne Jolie" on the playbill for "The Outsiders," was formerly known as "Vivienne Jolie-Pitt." If the 15-year-old, like her elder sister, has legally changed her name, it is yet unknown.
Their oldest daughter Zahara decided to adopt her mother's last name six months ago as well. At Spelman College in Atlanta, the 19-year-old joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. introducing herself as "Zahara Marley Jolie."
Us Weekly stated in 2021 that their 22-year-old son Maddox prefers to use "Jolie" on non-legal documents rather than "Pitt". At the time, though, Angelina Jolie allegedly opposed his wish to formally change his name.
The "Girl, Interrupted" actress sought complete custody of their six children—Vivienne, Zahara, Maddox, Shiloh, Pax (20), and Knox (15)—when she filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016. Though it's unknown how much the kids actually talk to their father, Pax allegedly called him a "world-class a–hole" and accused him of instilling fear and pain in a 2020 Father's Day post.
2019 saw Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's official declaration of legal singledom, but their divorce processes are still pending.
