Nag Anvesh, the child artiste of 'Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu' fame, had debuted in 'Vinavayya Ramayya'. In this interview, as he braces up for the release of 'Angel' on Nov 3, he talks about the film's premise, why it has been delayed, and more.

Why has the film been delayed endlessly?

The film's script was written over a period of 1.5 years. The shooting didn't take more than 4 months to be completed. But the CG works alone took 6 more months.

The idea was to limit the graphics to a mere 12 minutes in the beginning. But eventually, it went on to run for 40 minutes. We wanted to portray the Heaven in a new way. The climax fight also involves a lot of graphics. That's why the film's release has been delayed.

We are very happy with the way the film has done business. Even satellite rights have been sold for a very good price.

Is it a mere socio-fantasy or is there more than that?

This is an entertaining film with loads of comedy. Special effects are a part of the story. The audience can be rest assured that 'Angel' is totally entertaining.

After a rom-com, didnt' you find it risky to do a socio-fantasy as your second film?

I don't have any particular reason why I chose this one as my second movie. Suffice it to say that I liked the story and that's why I did it.

What is your character in the film?

Coming to my character, it's a bit mass-type. I am playing a smuggler in the movie. Fun is integral to the characterization.

What is the film's premise?

The premise is that Hebba Patel descends on Earth straight from Heaven when I and Saptagiri's character steal a particular idol for smuggling. This will be released in Telugu first, but we also have plans to release it in Tamil and Hindi.

What kind of homework have you done for this role?

I have improved as an actor. I was advised to put on weight as I was not so weighty in my first movie.
