Lijo Jose Pellissery's directorial 'Angamaly Diaries', which won accolades from critics, audience and celebrities alike for its realistic story and powerful performances, is all set to be remade in Telugu. The yet-to-be-titled Telugu remake will feature 'Vellipomakey' actor Vishwak Sen in the lead role. However, the team is yet to finalise the director.

While, Angamaly Dairies showcases the culture and life of local youngsters in the Angamaly region, the upcoming movie will be about the gang culture in Hyderabad. The Telugu remake will be adapted to suit Telugu sensibilities.

Funded by Vijay Babu`s Friday Film House, Angamaly Diaries introduced over 86 newcomers, who have now become a sensation on social media for their highly impressive debut. Similarly, the Telugu remake will also have newcomers. A casting call has been announced for wannabe actors and audition for the movie is going on at brisk pace. With this upcoming remake, Angamaly Diaries is receiving all the attention that it truly deserves.
