Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is known for his unique brand of content driven films, is all set for the release of his much anticipated political action thriller 'Anek'. Set in the North Eastern part of our country, 'Anek' will feature Ayushmann in the role of an undercover agent tasked to neutralize separatist groups in the North East.

'Anek' will be Ayushmann's second project with Anubhav Sinha as they previously worked together on the critically acclaimed film 'Article 15'. In a recent media interaction, Ayushmann talked about what makes him and Sinha a dream team. According to a recent report in The Indian Express, the actor said, "What Anubhav sir and I share in common is a vision to see something different unravel on the big screen and to be part of cinema which is entertaining yet socially relevant."

Ayushmann further added, "Both Article 15 and Anek are films that aren’t solely meant to entertain but also spark dialogue and conversation with a larger thought. Anubhav sir has really pushed the envelope with this one and as an artiste I’ve given it my best shot to ensure his vision stays true to its core.”

'Anek' is set to release theatrically on 27th of May.
