It was appropriate in many ways. A film named Andhrudu should be clapped to start by Andhrawala.

Gopichand's new movie Andhrudu was formally started with Andhrawala NTR Jr getting it off to a formal start.

Gopichand, who was gung-ho all through the muhurat, is hoping that the film goes on to become another Yagnam.

He says the movie's story is a typical one. "But the script will ensure that it keeps you engrossed". The movie is about factional fights. But it is set in rural Bihar. Sounds interesting? Well that is where director Parchuri Murali's skill would come into play.

Bollywood belle Gauri Pandit is making her Tollywood debut through this movie. She says she is thrilled at getting a major break in Telugu. "I hope to use this film as a platform to go on to bigger things here," she says.

The film is set for May 2005 release.
