Teacher arrested for raping class 2 girl

A school teacher of a private school in the Agirapalli town of Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district has been arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a class 2 girl.

The incident was reported earlier today, following which a medical examination was conducted on the 8-year-old girl, which revealed that she had been abused sexually.

The teacher was taken into judicial custody soon after and has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
