In the 2012 super hit comedy movie 'Kalakalappu' directed by Sundar C, Mirchi Siva who played a thief will get caught when trying to steal from a politician's house. He will try to escape through a ventilation hole in the bathroom after stealing jewels but his paunch will get stuck. The scene was one of the highlights of the film and brought the house down twice as Shiva will also trick the villain John Vijay into trying to get into the house in the same manner.

It has been reported that the incident took place for real. A 35-year-old thief, Reesu Baba Rao, broke into a temple in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, after removing bricks from the back of the temple to steal jewelery. He apparently got stuck in the hole when he tried to get out through the same hole after stealing the ornaments that had been on statues of gods.

Babu was trapped in the hole for more than two hours and he started screaming at one point for help. The police then arrived and rescued him and also filed a case against him after taking him into custody.

Khusbhu Sundar has shared the incident on Twitter as a user had pointed out that her husband Sundar C was a prophet who predicted such an incident a decade back.
