Andhra Pradesh logs more than 10,000 cases in 24 hours

The latest Covid-19 bulletin of Andhra Pradesh doesn't look good. In the last 24 hours (as on 29th July, 10:00 AM), the State logged 10,093 cases. More than 70,000 samples were tested. If 65 patients died, 2784 patients were discharged.
The cumulative tally of confirmed cases stands at 1,17,495. Discharged figure stands at 52,529. Deceased figure stands at 1,213. Active cases are 63,753 in number.
Fatalities in the past 24 hours: East Godavari (14), Anantapur (8), Vijayanagaram (7), Chittoor (6), Kurnool (5), Nellore (5), Krishna (4), Prakasam (4), Guntur (3), Kadapa (3), Srikakulam (2), Vizag (2), and West Godavari (2).
In view of the increasing numbers, Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has sought to make the district administrations more accountable. He said that no hospital can turn down a Covid-19 patient and that everyone should be able to get access to treatment within 30 minutes of reporting at a hospital.
