The latest edition of Ease of Doing Business rankings is out. Andhra Pradesh has retained its top position. Telangana is at No. 3, while Uttar Pradesh is at No. 2
The Telugu Desam Party has suggested that the good ranking is a legacy of Chandrababu Naidu's rule. "In 2015, AP was ranked at No. 2. In the following years up to 2019, AP was consistently ranked at No. 1," the party tweeted (not exactly in those words) on Saturday.
"This is an example of Chandrababu Naidu's hard work. AP again topped ‘ease of doing business’ for the year 2018-19, thanks to its effective implementation of Business Reform Action Plan – 2019. YS Jagan could have continued the good work, but he has undone all of it. Sad!," Nara Lokesh tweeted. "Under the visionary leadership of Sri @ncbn, Andhra Pradesh improved its EODB implementation score from 70.12% (2015) to 98.78% (2016) within a year. Our State has since then, consistently topped this chart," the party said.
The biggest achiever, however, is the Yogi Adityanath-ruled Uttar Pradesh, which moved from No. 12 to No. 2 in just one year.
