Life itself has a lie in it. People do lie for a lot of reasons in life - to maintain secrecy, one's own reputation, to shield others feelings and so on. The elder's saying goes as, "Lie is good when it's meant for a pious purpose. One can lie if it doesn't carry a bad intention." These words form the storyline of 'Andamaina Abaddam'.

Director RaviRaja Pinisetty was on a break for awhile and now he is back with 'Andamaina Abaddam' starring Raja, Kamna Jhathmalani in the lead. PP Reddy, M.KesavaRaju and Jonnada Ramana have produced the movie jointly on Murthy Mega Hindustan banner. The film was released today on 5th December.

Story

Pradeep (Raja) and Vaishnavi (Kamna) are in Bangkok for their higher studies. In a romantic interlude, they get acquainted with each other. Eventually the pair falls in love and decides to get married.

The heroine's father Akula Raghu Ram (Nagababu) is completely against love and he doesn't believe in such a concept. At the same time Narendra (Nilalgal Ravi) is always in favor of love and lovers. Vaishnavi who is aware of her dad's nature, knows that he will never consent for their marriage. So, she proposes Pradeep to marry her by registering in Bangkok.

But, Pradeep doesn't agree to her idea. He assures her that he will convince her parents and marry with their approval. One of the friends of Akula Raghu Ram, Ravudu (Naresh) brings the news of his daughter's love to him. The father gets completely enraged yet their marriage takes place in a happy ending. All this events takes place based on a lie uttered by Pradeep.

What was the lie that Pradeep told to marry Vaishnavi? What consequences do they face later on? How did it all end? Is the movie's plot that is being narrated in the two and half hours.

Performance of Artists

Raja as Pradeep has enacted the character well, but he doesn't have any specific points to be appreciated about. Kamna as Vaishnavi is just ok, and mentioning her appearance cannot be referred as a special attraction. Nagababu as Akula Raghubabu justified the character exhibiting dignity that is much needed. Similarly, Nilalgal Ravi as Narendra and Sudha as his wife portrayed their characters well.

In other roles, Shivaji Raja, Surekha Vani, Hema, Sudeep, Rekha, Radhakumari, have presented an average performance. Specially, the entertainment aspect has been presented well by MS Narayana, Posani Krishna Murali, Ali and Naresh.

Technical aspects

The technical aspects of the movie are not so praiseworthy. MM Sreelekha's composition of songs and re-recording, editing by Gautham Raju, lyrics by Bhaskar Bhatla and dialogues by Ramesh Gopi are all average. Ram Pinisetty's photography gets just a tick.

On a whole, the movie lacks in technicality and has nothing to boast about. It is all on an average scale.

Cons

The biggest drawback is the vintage story that is presented in the same old way and not refreshing at all. The slow performance by Naresh lags seriously. The upcoming scenes are so predictable which creates boredom. Narrative style is not captivating and viewers get bored at times. Music of this movie is so average and lyrics are on the same. They aren't of high quality and fail to be an addition in the already slow paced movie.

Director's Portrayal

RaviRaja Pinisetty who earlier directed several mega hits with big heroes has directed this movie after a long gap. However, undoubtedly the director didn't succeed in presenting the film according to current trend. Maybe he has lost touch of the taste of present day audiences.

Even though the story is of old times, the director's taut screenplay could have made the movie interesting. But unfortunately he didn't do so.

Criticism

Director RaviRaja Pinisetty was a successful maker with various box office hits. Both his action and family entertainers were received equally earlier. But this time he failed to garner attention. Although the story selection is good, the screenplay is not in accordance with the current trend. In a nutshell, the director has said a not so beautiful lie.
