Andala Rakshasi could have been a better album by cutting short the length of at least three songs. The songs are situation-based, and like all songs belonging to this category, they could work in the film, more than the audio. Even so, this is a good offering from a team of fresh singing, writing and musical talent. Yemito Listen here Artist: Haricharan The song comes as a breeze, proceeds like a wave, and, at times, seems to attempt a tempest. Debutante Rakendu Mouli's lyrics are better than Rathan's inspired instrumentations. The crests and troughs trick us, while Haricharan is characteristically breezy. Manasu Palike Listen here Artist: Rakendu Mouli "Vishwamantha unna prema, iruku yadalo dachagalana", so goes a line from this tribute to Love. The song sounds like a tunefully sung hymn in the puja room. That makes it pure and uplifting, with love described in its spiritual essence. Mouli is up-to-the-mark as both the lyricist and singer. As of Rathan, he is at his best here. Ne Ninnu Chera Listen here Artists: Ranjith, Veena Ghantasala Krishnakanth's lyrics are interesting just as the vocals of Ranjith and Veena Ghantasala pack the song's oomph in its fullness. Ne Ninnu Chera is a distinctive song, coming with a style and pattern of its own. Ye Mantramo Listen here Artist: Bobo Shashi This song is probably the best one sung by Bobo Shashi, even when we include the ones he has sung under his own music direction! His voice is close to Yuvan Shankar Raja's though. Vasishta Sharma's lyrics have good rhyming words. Rathan uses suitable instrumentation to elevate the situational quality of the song. Manasu Marchipo Listen here Artists: Sathya Prakash, Bhargavi Sridhar This song is sure to induce a sense of deja vu. The format, the instrumentation, the mood, all were tasted in the past. Sathya Prakash and Bhargavi Sridhar put their best effort. The song is a drag and will appeal to lovers of emotional songs. Lakshmi Bhupal pens new lines. Vennante Listen here Artist: Ranjith Ranjith's vocals makes the song a good listen. Krishnakanth's lyrics give voice to the joyous feelings of a youth in love. Rathan could have been better. |
