Having learned nothing from the earlier banning theories, the Kerala film chamber has issued an official ban on actress Rima Kallingal, the state’s best actress award winner of the year. This is due to the star’s repeated appearance as the lead anchor in the new reality show on Mazhavil Manorama, ‘Midukki’. Interestingly actors like Jagadhesh and Siddhique who had been running shows for the last three years continuously hasn’t met a similar ban. Film chamber is maintaining that these two actor s have informed them that they will abstain from participating in TV shows. But still you are sure to see the same actors on miniscreen hosting shows, even this week.

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi, the anchor of the Kodeeswaran programme on TV , escaped an action from the Film chamber as he has made it clear that he will resume acting in films only after the TV show is completed.

Interestingly some unofficial bans of certain artists and their fate need to be checked in the wake of these bans. Remember the case of Nithya Menon, who met with a similar ban a few months ago. We are sure that you may not find this incredibly talented actress in the cast lists of the any of the movies to be out this year, .. that too after last year’s hits like ‘Ustad Hotel ‘ and ‘Bachelor Party’…..Yes…. bans really matter in curbing talnets
