Simbu had called PMK leader Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss to an open debate on smoking and drinking in films. Newsmen caught up with the politician for his reaction to the 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' actor's invite. Anbumani stated that there is no need for him to answer an individual and if they want to the Nadigar Sangam and the film fraternity can call for a meeting and he would attend to educate them on the evils of tobacco and alchohol as a doctor.

Regarding Vijay, Anbumani said with certainty that he had nothing against the mass hero and his demand regarding the 'Sarkar' issue is for the actor to lead a healthy life. Similarly the millions who follow Vijay too should stay away from tobacco and lead a long and healthy life.
