The news of producer Ashok Kumar killing himself over harrassment from financier Anbuchezhian caused distress among the public and the film fraternity. The police had also formed three separate task forces to nab the financier who had absconded.

Reportedly now Anbuchezhian has sought an anticipatory bail in the Madurai branch of High Court stating that he is innocent and that he has been falsely implicated. Stating that it was only Sasikumar who had dues to be paid Anbuchezhian also noted in the affidavit that the suicide note was planted in the place of occurence.

In another related news, Anbuchezhian's manager Murugan Kumar and Production Manager Sadiq have been arrested by the police and are said to have disclosed Anbuchezhian's hideout. The police have stated that the financier will be found and arrested at the earliest.
