The Censor Board has cleared all decks for politician - turned actor Thol Thirumavalavan's maiden venture on screen Anbu Thozhi. The movie had run into trouble after the regional censor board has denied granting permission for the film.

The movie features Thirumavalavan in the role of a rebel, championing the cause of Tamils. The officials at the Censor Board denied certifying the film contending that the scenes in the film glorify the LTTE leader Prabhakaran recently.

Reports suggest that the story was loosely based on the life of the banned outfit's leader.

The latest news is that all problems have been cleared and the censor board has nine cuts for the movie which refer to Lankan issue.
