There have been certain reports that the properties of Anasuya Bharadwaj have come under the scanner of the GST Commissionerate. Sections of media have reported this as a raid.

The 'Jabardasth' host and 'Rangasthalam' actress has quashed the reports, asking the media to maintain due diligence in reporting news. "No government body has raided my property. The media is meant to give information, not dish out personal views or assumptions. We in the entertainment industry work hard to be where we are today. Because of baseless reports, our hard-earned image gets ruined," she said.

Star anchor Suma and Lavanya Tripathi's names have also been mentioned in the reports. Suma has categorically refuted the rumours already. "There is this news that GST raids have happened at my house. Which house? Where? I have been a prompt payer of GST. I have worked hard to reach this position. Why don’t some newspapers and channels check the authenticity before posting such rubbish about me?" Suma asked.
