Early this month on February 2, Ananya of 'Nadodigal' and 'Engaeyum Eppothum' fame got engaged to Thrissur based entrepreneur Anjaneyan. Yesterday (February 14) Ananya's parents filed a police complaint against Anjaneyan for hiding his first marriage!

On interrogation Anjaneyan agreed that he was married and when the marriage turned bitter, he filed for a divorce and that the case is impending in a Kozhikode civil court. Anjaneyan is said to have entered wedlock in 2008 and filed for a divorce in 2009.

Regional Malayalam channels are working overtime and have it that Ananya was well aware of Anjaneyan’s first marriage and is madly in love with this businessman, who is an ardent fan of hers. They also further express that Ananya is currently house arrested by her parents who do not want their daughter to meet Anjaneyan.

Ananya has rubbished these as baseless rumours but as the old adage goes, there's no smoke without fire. Ananya currently has five promising projects in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil.
