‘Naadodigal’ fame Ananya, who is gradually establishing herself in Mollywood, seems to have done a daring stunt for Mohanlal's 'Shikaar', which impressed the superstar. The commitment of the actress has made Mohanlal name the young actress as Mollywood's Vijayashanthi.

The setting was the shooting for the climax of 'Shikaar'. The scene required Ananya to hang by a rope from a tree that was standing slanting over a hillside. The shot to be taken was the rescue act of her onscreen father played by Mohanal, who risks his life to save his daughter. Director M Padmakumar and Mohanlal were suggesting a dupe to do the act. But Ananya insisted on doing this herself, as she believed taking such a risk would be a big benefit for the film.

Ananya then holding the rope and as the entire sets stood gasping, she completed the act as Lal climbed the tree and helped her to land safely. As the shot was Okayed by the cinematographer Manoj Pillai, Lal gave a firm handshake to Ananya and complimented her bravery by naming her 'Vijayashanthi of Malayalam cinema’.

'Shikaar' whose climax was shot at ‘Guna’ hills is said to feature some daring fight sequences from Mohanlal, which is said to be the highlights of the movie.
