At 67 years this versatile actor Ananthnag is going strong with over dozen films. He celebrated the happy birthday on 4th of September. Ananthnag is going to back to olden days with the film The Plan`. It was his brother Shankar Nag film Minchina Ota` a jail break cinema he acted and feels very happy for the young talent Manjunath Keerthi. Ananthnag plays a jail warden in this film. The films like Plus, Godi Banna Sadarana Maikattu, Tandana Tandanaana, Prema Pallakki etc ready for release.

On the variety of roles he is getting Ananthnag says he is very comfortable with youngsters coming with novel thoughts. I am safe and enjoying in Kannada cinema at the moment. What I did not get 25 years ago is coming to me in the form of novel roles. I appreciate the present young technicians and I promote their films too. Senior directors commercial films do not need my support he feels.
