Popular VJ Anandakannan who anchored several shows on Sun TV during the 90s was very popular at that time. He also acted in a cameo role in his friend Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Saroja’ released in the year 2008. On August 16th the entertainment world received the shocking news that he passed away in his home country Singapore at the age of 48 battling cancer.
Condolences poured in from all over the world and Kollywood film and television celebrities shared their memories with him. A recent memorial in Chennai saw an outpouring of grief as his colleagues broke down.
Nisha a friend of Anandakannan in his death bed had requested his wife that he did not wish to see his family and friends cry over his body but instead give him a send-off happily. His wife and family fulfilled his last wish by decorating his house and made sure no one shed tears but keep a happy face.
The same person has added that Anandakannan wished to return to India and act in movies but he was robbed by fate before that.
