Anandabhadram

Amidst the plethora of formulaic and commercial entertainers, Ananthabhadram has raised the bar of expectations amongst the Mallu audiences. For one, it is a film made by Sanotosh Sivan, a man who takes his films and himself seriously.

For another, this is a film about outre and otherworldly ideas. There is a brooding and bewitching kind of charm. The story, a psycho thriller of sorts, includes witchcraft and black magic kind of stuff.

For Prithviraj, the hero, this is a splendid opportunity to once and for all assert that he is not just pretender to the top sot but a real heir apparent.

Kavya Madhavan, the quiet, unassuming girl, plays his ladylove.

The duo has been comfortable working with each other. Their on screen chemistry has been pretty good.

The highlight of the film is expected to be Manoj K Jeyan's terrific performance as a black magic practioner. He is expected to bring a new polish and a daring devilry to his craft. Looking at the promos he is really scary.

Being Santosh Sivan's film, the technical standards are expected to be top notch.

Another highlight of the film would be M G Radhakrishnan's music. Santosh Sivan was insistent that this maestro scored the music for his film. The songs have an alluring charm to them and have been brilliantly shot.

Santosh is indeed happy that the songs have come out very well. It has come out the way I wanted them. I was very particular to have MG Radhakrishnan as the music director. Listen to the songs, you will understand why I was so insistent, he says.

The film has been produced by Manian Pilla Raju, Ajaychandran Nair and Raghuchandran Nair who earlier made the hit Kannezhuthi Pottumthottu.

The film is said to be Ramzan release.
