Anand who has been doing villainous roles for a while turns positive with a character he is acting out in the new film Oruvan. This film directed by Vinoo Anand will place Anand as C I Madhavan, a sincere police officer. Madhavan is the close pal of S.I. Jeevan, the character played by Prithviraj in the film.

Anand has been famous for his powerful villain roles that he presented in Thommanum Makkalum, Udayanaanu Tharam, The Tiger and Vargam. This Mani Ratnam find has been continuously casted in negative shades following the success of these films.

Oruvan which has completed its shooting weeks back has already been to its dubbing and is entering rerecording stage this week.
