Call it a herd mentality. Call it a Dominoes Effect. Call it whatever you want.

But the truth is that it just takes a single hit to make a director popular overnight.

Check this out with Shekar Kammula.

Even after winning a National-award for Dollar Dreams nobody took him seriously. So it is with lot of difficulty that he made Anand.

Now that Anand is a confirmed hit, Tollywood is making a beeline to his place. So does a hit means more than an award? Yes, in the money-minded Tollywood.

Anyway, Shekar Kammula, much like the film's hero Raja, is in huge demand.

Many big producers have sought him out for making a film. On last count, he has had 15 offers. He smiles wryly at it all.

And that says a lot.
