An unbelievable fact about Aamir Khan's remuneration
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Aamir Khan has talked about how he makes money from movies. Unlike most other heroes, he neither charges remuneration while signing up to do a movie nor does he demand a share in revenues from the first day of a film's release.
A producer wanting to work with the 'Dangal' actor doesn't have to pay him a single rupee. He only needs to agree to part with a percentage of profits. Suppose the film's budget is Rs. 100 crores and publicity costs are an additional Rs. 25 crores. Hypothetically, let's assume the break-even amount is Rs. 125 crores (it's not so simple, though). Aamir will start making money only after the film earns Rs. 125 crores, not before that.
The Mr. Perfectionist believes in this arithmetic keeping in view the huge costs that producers have to entail because of the astronomical remuneration charged by most superstars.
The 'Thugs Of Hindostan' actor has always been known for blockbusters (with just one exception perhaps) since 'Lagaan'. But if any of his film doesn't do well, he mourns the loss. He actually cries!
