Sanakranthi, the most important festival for all Telugu people, is considered Tollywood's biggest release season (like Summer). Many producers and actors try to deliver their movies during the Sanakranthi season, so they can make huge business, and it turns out there is an interesting war between the stars. This Jan 2016 had 3 major releases, which include NTR`s Nannaku Prematho, Balakrishna`s Dictator, and Nagarjuna`s Soggade Chinni Nayana.

The latest news is that Nagarjuna and NBK are locking their horns once again for this Sankaranthi. While NBK is busy shooting the epic Gautamiputra Satakarni in the direction of Krish, and Nagarjuna is about to begin his next Om Namo Venkateshaya under Ragahavendra Rao's direction, the makers of these films are planning to release their movies for Sankarathi 2017.

If everything goes well there will be a surprise release for Sankranthi, and the surprise is Megastar`s 150th movie Katthilantodu`. Megastar is set to start his shoot soon and all eyes are on him to join the race with the Nandamuri and Akkineni heroes.
