Vijayadasami Day is a big one for film buffs in Andhra.

Three movies have released today and the biggest one of them has been Bhageeratha. Starring Ravi Teja and Shriya, is the most eagerly awaited of the lot.

Directed by Rasool Ellore, the film is expected to be a typical Ravi Teja movie --- lot of masala and gritty fights.

The other two films, as has been the case all through the season, are dubbed ones.

Premiste and G are the other two films in the race.

Premiste comes with high expectations. It is produced by Shankar and has been a big hit in Tamil as Kadhal. But whether this film, which banked heavily on its nativity and local flavor, will work in Tamil or not is a moot a point. The movie stars Bharath (of Boys fame) and newcomer Sandhya. The music of Joshua Sridhar is also an added plus.

G, interestingly, a remake from Tamil. It is directed by Linguswamy, the film stars Ajith and Trisha in the leads. The movie hopes to sail on Trisha’s drawing power.

All told, it will be an interesting battle: Two dubbed films vs one local.

May the best film win.
