Fast forward to a decade later and today you have Anushka, the most sought after south Indian actress. On the 12th of March 2005 she faced the camera for the first time for the telugu film Super and It can be safely said that Anushka has been part of the most number of hits in tamil and telugu compared to any of her comtemperories. Arundathi` proved that Anushka can single handedly carry a film on her own which no other actress has achieved.

Consider this, Anushka`s next film Rudramadevi` directed by Gunasekar in which she plays the title role has a budget of 60crores and features Allu, Arjun, Rana Daggubatti, Nithya Menon and Catherine Tressa in supporting roles. This is the highest budget ever for a heroine oriented film in India. She also is the heroine of S.S. Rajamouli`s Magnum Opus Mahabali` which at 175crores is the costliest Indian film ever.
