Director Venkat Prabhu is busy with the pre production work of his film that will have Suriya in the lead role. The film has been tentatively titled as ‘Poochandi’ and news reports suggest that it will be a ghost thriller.

For the past couple of days we have been coming across news reports suggesting that the director is trying to rope in Mohan the lead hero of many silver jubilee films of 1980’s, to play a pivotal role in this highly anticipated film. It is to be remembered that actor Ramki who was one of the leading heroes of 1990’s had made a comeback in the director’s latest outing ‘Biriyani’.

When the Indiaglitz correspondent contacted Venkat Prabhu to confirm whether his film with Suriya will mark the comeback of Mohan in Tamil films, the ‘Mankatha’ director replied “its fake news”.

The Venkat Prabhu-Suriya film will have Yuvan Shankar Raja’s musical score and R.D.Rajasekar has been roped in to crank the camera. Lyricist Madhan Karky is penning the dialogues for the film which is expected to kickstar in July.
