Interacting with the media while on a tour of Nandyala, Pawan Kalyan has come down heavily on YCP's governance record in Andhra Pradesh. The actor-politician opined that the State will go into the dark if the anti-YCP vote gets split at the hustings. Elections are due to the held in 2024.
Getting political in such a way that speculations are made, Pawan said that an alternative ruling is the need of the hour for the future of AP. He exuded confidence in his party's ability to steer the State out of the mess it is in.
He added that he wouldn't have undertaken the Kaulu Rythu Bharosa Yatra had Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy's governance been good.
Clarifying his party's stance on forming an alliance with anti-YCP parties, Pawan said that any alliance must serve the people. "If an alliance has no use for people, I will come out of it," he added.
The actor-politician hit out at YCP's track record on tenant farmers, jobs, and law and order in the State. "With 151 MLAs and 23 MPs, the YCP government could have resolved many issues comfortably," he added.
