Amy Jackson debuted in Tamil film industry with the film Madharasapattinam that released in 2010. Though the film was a super hit she got to act in only one Tamil film Thandavam that released in 2012 which did not make any wonders at the box office. Meanwhile she acted in the Bollywood remake of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya titled Ek Dheewana Tha, but the film bombed at the box office.

Lady luck smiled at Amy when she grabbed the coveted offer to star in Shankar directed Ai which has Vikram playing the lead role.

Amy has been shooting for AI for the past two years and she could not concentrate on any other project for such a long time. However the British born actress has no qualms about this gap. She says that hee character in AI has lot of scope to perform and hopes that she will be the most sought after heroine after the release of the magnum opus.

The pretty actress has also revealed that her talkie portions for the film are over and only a song shoot is pending for her with regards to AI.

It is to be noted that Amy acts as a girl born and brought up in Tamilnadu for the first time in Ai. She was a British girl in Madarasapattinam and a London born Tamil speaking girl in Thandavam
